Its been more than a week since my granny moved out of the house, into her new and refurbished room down at Ave 2. Its cleared of her dear old pijat (bed bug) friends or so ive heard and it looks very comfy and warm after i had seen it. But then my house just feels empty without my grandma. That vintage bundle of joy who always keeps my siblings in place, spends 3/4 of her time watching her Suria and Tv1 dramas and prays like theres no tomorrow (which is a good thing).
Having problems with her heart, we were told not to make her angry or excited about anything but its hard as she is one person who always subconsciously gets into the centre of things. She will always want things her way and that is the only option. Sometimes i do get irritated or annoyed by her....antics or such but she is from the kampung world where almost everything has to be in order. Even her taste for hairstyles. "Kenape kamu tak potong belakang nye? Tak cantik la gitu." (Why didnt you had it cut at the back. Its not nice like that)..But without her now around the house, hearing that soft chant of prayer as she reads it out from the Holy Quran...it's just not the same.
I can say she is like the glue that keeps my family together. Which is wonderfully intact...except for those tiny cracks here and there. I must be very lucky to have an intact family as compared to some of my compatriots. And my grandma is the person that keeps it together.
I cant help but wonder what would happen to the family after she is gone. She will definitely go to heaven. But that glue would be gone and theres a high chance of the family crumbling down.
I hope for the best but only time will tell.
And its 3 more days you guys. If i do not post after those 3 days. Go find my parents...i might be locked up somewhere...being caned upside down.
And Kak La will be bringing out her BIG BIG shisha for me to puff my worries away.....Marijuana anyone? =D
