The day after.


I still cant believe its over. Its all over. Three months of hard work. Three months of late nights. Three months of Mcdonalds. Summed up in only one night. One incredible, adrenaline filled night. A night to remember. A night I never wanted to end or forget.

We were fully charged and hyped up after the last ever run through. Our nervousness, anxiety, excitement increased as the clocked ticked by, approaching the deadline; the start of the show.

The doors open, the audience flood in. Me staring through a small window from one of the exit doors. My heart pumped faster. Blood racing through with speeds of twice the norm.

The curtain opens. The dancer's que. The show begins. Everyone is on their toes.
Show went through without a hitch till the 7th scene. Where's the fourth chair? Improvisation takes place and the show went on as per normal. Scene after scene, costume change after costume change. Running up and down the back stage and under stage passageway like a bunch of headless chickens. Listening to the happenings outside from the changing room through the intercomm. Everything is going well.

The lights dimmed. The curtains close. The show ends. Applause ringing throughout. Jumping for joy. Hugs here and there. I can give you gatsby. THE SHOW IS OVER!
